About me

Former DJ & Masher-Upperer :: Currently Remixering / ReGrooving tracks:

After a lifetime of loving those special moments in a track that gives you goosebumps and enforced rewinds, I thought it was about time I tried to create some of those moments for myself. Back in the late 80s / early 90s I knew what I wanted to do but I just didn’t have the equipment or budget to do it, so it got shelved for nearly 20 years whilst I got all grown up with a proper job and a lovely family.

Then after getting a USB turntable I started converting all my vinyl to MP3s and working with Audacity…then one thing led to another and I found myself doing edits, extended mixes and mash-ups of all my favourite soul / funk / hip-hop tracks. Bliss!!!

Since then I’ve moved onto Cubase5 (now 6) and I haven’t looked back. What started out as a very personal thing soon developed into a more public thing and I’m lucky enough that other people In the UK soul scene like what I’ve been doing….which I never ever take for granted.
Neil T March 2011

In the last 12 months I’ve worked with Incognito, Kenny Thomas, West Coast Soulstars, Tom Glide & The Luv All Stars, Soularis, etc to name but a few…love em all to bits!

I love a female BV, I simply worship at the feet of a crackin’ bassline and I’d gladly sell my sister (if I had one) for strings that send a shiver down your spine!!

Thanks for all the support given from DJs and soul music lovers all over, I really couldn’t do it without y’all….

Love the spirit behind your mash ups all us boys in South London are a little bit behind you and I really need your Mash Up of Love’s Theme and Brownstone as the jungle drums are starting to make noises over this one down South. Will make a donation to your worthy cause in return.

I heard Aint that peculiar on the Robbie Vincent show on Sunday. Is that track something to do with you? It is awesome, how do I get a copy.

    Kind Regards

Hi Neil, I haven’t been to an all dayer since 1981, but still like to keep in touch with the music and have some very treasured memories of Purley, Brighton, Bournmouth, The Royalty, The Rio, Caister, Perran Sands & Knebworth.

Would love to get hold of the full length version of “This is the finest”. Can I get the download link if I make a donation via “Just for giving”?

    Best Regards,

Hi Steve, Thaks for your email mate 🙂

I’ve actually got a policy regarding my remixes – if you want a full high quality copy of a particular track then I ask folks to make a small online donation to my chosen charity (one track for a fiver or three tracks for a tenner) –

      – after which I can send them the download links if you email me your choices at:

100% of all proceeds will go to the charity which is ‘The British Heart Foundation’ (my Dad had a heart attack a few months ago and he was treated in a ward paid for by them).

      Thanks mate

    Hi Neil,

Just tried to leave a donation in return for a few of your tracks but unfortunately your just giving page is no longer accepting donations. Is there another way I can donate at all?
