Upgrading…hmmm, maybe….

25 Feb

Well it’s now come to the point where I think I need to upgrade my kit and dare I say it, move from a PC to a Mac!! Oh my God, never thought I’d see the day…

Its become clear that to move on with my music and remixes I need to enter the dark and intense world of Mr Job’s little wonderful machines – the main culprit for putting this thought in my head is Mr Soulpersona….damn you, you talented & wise ba*tard! haha! Seriously though, I think to do what I want to do, I need to take the step….bloody nora!

On the remixing front, I’m looking forward to receiving a couple of tracks to have a mess with – come on!! Hoping to get them in the next couple of days and hopefully turn them out for mid-March…fingers crossed that inspiration hits and I can do the business….wish me luck x

Cheers, Neil T

    Hi Neil,
As an ex-pat living in the US and a MAC addict for over 20 years I can honestly say that making the switch will be the BEST move you will ever make. Enjoy… and please keep up the great work on the remix front. Many, many thanks for the Summer Madness….

Embrace that bad boy Mac…you’ll wonder what you have been doing without one for all these years! Love the mixes and a real shame that Ain’t That Peculiar baby wasn’t taken up by the big boys. But hey..we all love it! Keep up the good work and look forward to your future choonz.

Cheers Paul – I’m gonna do it. Need to do my research as I may get an imac for my office here at home and keep my laptop PC for work, when I travel…

Or could I get a macbook powerful enough?

Cheers mate and thanks for the kind comments…we haven’t completely written it off yet… 🙂

    Hey Neil,

I think if you’re going to be doing your mixing on the Mac then stick to an iMac. You will seriously have to ramp up the RAM on the MacBook. I muck around with GarageBand on my machine and it really hogs the memory.

Intrigued about the new project. I have a horrendously large library of music so if you need anything feel free to give me a shout.

Spooky…Messers Vincent is playing Ain’t that Peculiar as I type!

    Good luck.
